Sussex Branch will be meeting again on Sunday September 19, at Chailey Parish Hall, Chailey Green Road, Chailey Green, Lewes BN8 4DA. Its on the A 275 road, right next to the Five Bells public house. This will be the third meeting for Sussex, who were one of the first branches to return on July 25th following their 16 month enforced closure. That very rainy day saw one Sussex collector getting lost en route to the venue at South Chailey, but still around 20 people turned up – including several visitors whose own branches had not yet opened. There was brisk activity on the tables and a successful bring and buy auction. Society President, John Walton, described Sunday July 25 as “Cartophilic Freedom Day”, as Lea Valley Club was also being re-launched. Their next meetings are Sundays October 17 and November 28. You can read more about the Branch at https://card-world.co.uk/hants-and-surrey-branch/

The Kent Card Club will return to Crofton Halls, Crofton Lane, Orpington BR6 8PR on Thursday 7th of October, doors opening at 4pm. November’s meetings will also take place there on the first Thursday of the month, but their Christmas meeting will take place on a Saturday. that will be the 11th December, and the opening times, along with more details, are still to be confirmed. The webpage for Kent Branch can be found at https://card-world.co.uk/kent-branch/

Saturday and Sunday October 9 & 10 will be Our Annual Convention. This year we are off to Salisbury … and pretty soon there will be a dedicated page with all the breaking news. If you are stalling out, its also a chance to tell us about yourself and your stock!

Winchester and Solent Branch are holding an all day fair and auction on the 7th of November at their usual venue. Botley Market Hall, High Street, Botley, near Southampton SO30 2EA. This was originally built in 1850, and its right in the centre of the village, but still has a car park to the rear. It was refurbished sympathetically in 2012 to include the large main hall and the smaller room upstairs that we use for our branch meetings, and we are delighted to say the building was also made fully accessible for all our visitors, it even has a stairlift! If you want to read more about the hall, with a map, the website is: https://botleymarkethall.org.uk/  Whilst the Branch web page is https://card-world.co.uk/winchester-and-solent-branch/
