Lancashire (1965-1970)

Current status: Inactive

I believed that when the Cameric and Cartophilic Society merged in 1964, their Lancashire Branch simply became our North West Branch. After all, Cyril Marsden was certainly involved with both.

However the Lancashire Branch kept its original title for some time, and in 1968 are recorded as meeting at the College for Adult Education in Manchester, starting at 3.15, as well as at private homes in Crosby Road Bolton and Townfield Avenue Farndon.

It was not until the November/December 1970 edition of "Cartophilic Notes and News" (Vol.3 No.36) that they turn up under the name of North West Branch, with a new Secretary, Norman Pendlebury.
