It's just a few weeks away now and the East Anglian branch is waiting to welcome you to this beautiful part of the country.
It promises to be 'the best ever', all the signs are good, not least the fact that we have
- an almost full house of dealers (only 7 tables of 105 remain)
- 30 dealers already booked in
- Cartophilic Society Members will be allowed in the hall from 9.30 a.m.
In case you didn`t know, the Cartophilic Society made the monumental decision, back in November, to give FREE tables to any Society members who wanted to sell some of their duplicate cards - and this has resulted in a nearly full house, though we can squeeze in a couple more.
POKEMON - Also this year, the Cartophilic Society decided to invite six Pokemon dealers to join in the event, and this has been received well, both with Society members and Pokemon collectors. We have two 'Pokemon' only shops in Kings Lynn, and I challenged one of the owners to find the six dealers to attend. To date three have agreed and three more will definitely be there. I have his assurance. This should provide a lot of benefit to the Society, besides the extra door income, it will introduce a lot of young people to our world of collecting and 'who knows' some new members. Let's all welcome them and hope there are benefits for all.
Accommodation : If you need recommendations for hotels, Travelodge (nearest) and Premier Inn still have vacancies. In town itself I hear Dukes Head is full and Wetherspoons have only 2/3 rooms left.
The venue : is the same as 2023, it has two very large free car parks (North & South) - the latter nearest the reception. Refreshments including Hot food is available at the coffee bar upstairs all day. You can bring your drinks etc. down into the main hall. Check the flyer at the top for opening/closing times each day.
The Cartophilic Society Annual General Meeting : for Society Members only - this will take place at 3.00 p.m. in the Olympic meeting room upstairs on Saturday 25th April.
