These are very much as it says, just listings of cards, by issuer, typed, by hand.
Originally it was my intention to add each of these details with to the data for each of the copies in the library, but it appears some copies are no longer there, or maybe they are just not listed in the library catalogue.
Anyway they are all listed in the first ever "Cartophilic Notes and News" magazine, Volume 1, Number 1, dated January/February, 1965 - which I am currently gleaning - so, to save me returning, I will add the data here and remove it once I have found out more about the library copies.
And as for our lovely illustration, you can read more about that in our newsletter for the 21st of October 2023, just scroll down to Sunday, the 22nd of October.
The magazine entry reads :
CARTOPHILIC TYPED LISTINGS
These listings cover series or groupings which are too lengthy or of insufficient general interest to warrant inclusion in the printed Reference Books.
For the benefit of members who are not familiar with this aspect of the Society`s research work, we would mention that these listings are not really suitable for the general collector, but for those who desire to specialise or to be informed of all research matter available. The typed listings are usually secured in a file with the title on the cover. The following are available in the Library of the Cartophilic Society, now amalgamated with that of the Cameric Club, under the control of the Librarian, Mr. Alfred Yates, of Locks Heath, Herts.
