Apparently this set was issued in English (Princesses), German (Prinzessinnen), French (les Princesses), Italian (Principesses), Norwegian (Prinzessen), and Spanish (Princesas). And it features the Disney kingdom`s most famous princesses, namely Cinderella, Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Ariel and Jasmine. And it must have been successful because several other Princess series followed.
There is good and bad about Princesses, but the stories do boil down to them needing a Prince to sweep them off her feet, and then the story ends, which I guess it does, for however plucky the Princess is through the story, she ends up doing the housework and raising other princesses and princes. She never seems to be allowed to continue what she is interested in, and she definitely never says he can come round a couple of times a week, and then waddle off so she can live her own life for the other days. But that`s my view of a perfect relationship, and almost certainly not Disney`s...
