One of our greatest assets is our network of local branches and clubs, many of whom hold regular card fairs and other events.
This is but a diary of what is going on - if you want to find out more about your local branch or club, just click on its name, in blue, below, and you can find out more about it, as well as reminisce about cards and collectors from that place in times gone by. And if you can add to any of these memories, please do...

New cards this year - most of which come from one of my favourite sets, J. A. Pattrieouex`s "The English and Welsh Counties", issued in 1928 - our Card of the Day for the 26th of May 2022...
This set has a card for every county that, at that time, made up England and Wales. The main body of the card shows a local landmark, and, within the circle, is the local industry - so many of which are now very different. Within the box at the very bottom are two names, the top, in capital letters, being the County name, and the lower one being the County Town. There is one exception to this though, and that is London. For some reason there was no card of London in the set, and so we have chosen a very unusual one, from Gallaher`s "Great War Series", ostensibly a card to show searchlights, but also illuminating one of London`s most familiar landmarks, Nelson`s Column in Trafalgar Square.
