Privacy and cookies

Okay, these are stretching the definition a bit but we cant find anything better…

… apart from these perhaps!

Anyway, in case you are not familiar with the non-edible kind of cookies, these are little files automatically placed in your hard drive so that information transferred to your computer can be found. And just like saying no to an extra biscuit, you can decline all cookies coming to your browser, computer, or device. However if you do decline cookie downloads you may be limited to certain areas of our site, as there are parts of our site that require them.

So this is where we let you know that all the information gathered about you on this site is purely for our use, and will not generate any spam mail from us. In actual fact any data gathered will not even identify you personally; its just about how you use the resources on our site, so that we can see which pages get looked at a lot and which are ignored. Then we use that to make our site better for your future visits.

If you email us about this website, or have a general question, we will only use your email address if you ask for a reply, and even then we don’t extract it to store it, we just reply through your original mail.

You will be asked for personal information if you wish to join the Society, or choose to contact us via our contact form. In each case we will only use the personal information you provide to deliver the services you have told us you wish to take part in.

Your rights under the GDPR

You have the right to have access to any data we hold about you and if you wish to, to have it erased. Such requests are dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Please do contact us if you have any queries.
