Welcome to another curious edition of "Notes and News".  I have now relocated from High Wycombe, but I thought it would be have fun to have a wander down the Wye, as nipper and I did almost every evening, racing back before the sun went completely down.

Welcome to a curious edition, but an edition none the less. I suppose you could call it a "Strike Edition", or maybe "Letters From Abroad", but I think I will stick with "Notes and News".  I have spent the last week in High Wycombe. It is very rural and nipper enjoys it very much. 

Hi everyone, and here we are at the end of another week, for most of which mum has been in hospital, so lots of phone calls, and sortings out, and worrying...

Saturday has come, and much quicker than I imagined it would, but look, we are okay, and we have a newsletter - albeit in some cases not with the card I wanted. 

Last week I uploaded the newsletter in the waiting room of the Animal Hospital, with nipper, who had a bout of gastric trouble. And we had to go back there again since.

Hopefully you have been coping with the heatwave, despite the fact that Britain`s hottest day ever was on Wednesday June 24th, with a temperature of 97ºF,  recorded in Gosport, Hampshire .But do spare a thought for our neighbours in France, who this week saw 105* in Paris and 109* in Bordeaux. 

I was a bit slow this week so it looked like this may be a two part newsletter, but in the end only the final day was missing and that has been added, Saturday afternoon.

Welcome to the end of another week, and to a brand new newsletter. 

Well I think I may be getting on with my new glasses, I am wearing them for longer periods, and I am still splitting my day, going between the laptop, the chromebook, sitting in the garden without them, sorting cards, and reading the paper.
