We believe that this is our first ever auction catalogue. It was printed in the Cartophilic World magazine of May/June 1950
Our Society Auctions operate as "sealed bid" ones. In other words, the prospective bidder contacts us with a list of the lot numbers they would like to bid on, a brief description of each of the items concerned, and the maximum price they would like to bid on each of the lots.
All bids should be submitted, by e-mail, to: auctions@card-world.co.uk
This is also the e-mail address for any questions about the lots, or to request scans thereof so that you may see the items more clearly.
The minimum reserve on each lot is £5 - but note that for some lots the reserves will be higher.
Once the auction day arrives, the bids received are collated and the highest bidder for each lot becomes the winner.
All successful bidders will be notified within 7 days and will receive details of their winning lots and payment instructions.
Non members are welcomed to bid, the only difference being that if you are not a Cartophilic Society member we charge a 10% surcharge on the winning amount.
If you are a member of the Cartophilic Society you do not pay this surcharge.
