Epic Cards "Grand Prix Drivers" first series
Epic Cards [trade : UK] "Grand Prix Drivers" (2019)

Of course the clue here was "Driver", another kind of club, which is longer and bigger than an iron, giving it more heft as it were to drive the ball forwards at speed.

I have found a bit more about these two sets, each of ten cards, since I first added them to this newsletter. They were issued in 2019 and there was also a set of European Footballers, maybe two, about the same time. All these were from artwork by Ed Carter, who I now know also draws footballers - check out Two Hundred Per Cent.

But I still don`t know where Epic Cards were based or what happened to them. I do know that an EPIC Driver Card is visible proof of a qualification of site safety for HGV drivers, specifically those who deliver loose materials or cement to construction sites and quarries.
