This time we are going to speak of just one set.
In 1938, W.D. & H.O. Wills issued a set in 1938 called "The Kings Art Treasures".
You are thinking well that`s an interesting set, but there are lots of them about.
Well, think again, because we have a version in our current stocks which you will probably never see again.
We do know that this set had another experiment associated with it, for in our original Wills reference books it says that "A few cards with glossy cream fronts are known; these are thought to be printers material and not part of a regular issue".
However, the complete set we have come across. and are currently offering for sale, has an adhesive back, something that the issued cards did not. We believe that this is a protype set, perhaps a test run for a plan to issue the set with adhesive backs, only for something to alter.
It would definitely be the star of any collection.

And we also have a very small quantity of adhesive backed odds from this set, if you are a type collector. But they are selling fast....
