AUCTION JOTTINGS
I hope that everyone who managed to attend the convention enjoyed themselves. I certainly did, there were many dealers with a great selection of cards to browse and buy. It was also marvellous to meet up with friends and fellow collectors that I had not seen for some time, I am looking forward to next year already!
It would be helpful to me if bidders could include a telephone number with their bids, this would allow me to call to sort out any difficulties should they occur. I do call some bidders whose numbers I have, and of course such details will be kept confidential and not used for marketing purposes!
And so on to the highlights this time. We have some unrecorded trade cards (lots 6, 8 11 & 12), another great section of military types, (lots 13-28), 3 Copes Dogs of the World (lots 29-31), 8 Richard Lloyd Boer War Celebrities (lots 57-64), some unusual trade cards (lots 76-85), 5 Cummings Famous Fighters, the American Greats (lots 115-119), 3 Marburg National Costumes (lots 125-127), and the first batch of mainly rare types with very low reserves (lots 141-150).

After the sale it was revealed that there were 30 bidders, of whom 20 were successful. And a total of 239 bids which saw 126 of the 150 lots (77%) were sold.
The total amount raised by the sale was £2632, very inspiring, for if all lots had sold at their reserves the total raised would have been £1927.
