Thank you for all your bids and for supporting our postal auction. Our next is now being lotted and will appear in the next edition of "Card-World" magazine. It will also appear on this website once a suitable time has elapsed to allow for our members to read it, check their wants lists and cards, and send in their bids.
We thought you might like to read a few snippets from the last auction which closed on the 29th of October. The most sought after lots, as far as the number of bids recieved on them, were :
LOT 15 : Phillips "Types of British & Colonial Troops" - third Hussars Officer. Just waiting on the price for this
LOT 105 : Fry's Advert Card - our famous (and some may say over used) monocled eye, which sold for £55, off an estimate of £12 - 15
and
LOT 134 : Pritchard & Burton "Flags & Flags with Soldiers (draped)" - Austria. Again waiting on the price but the estimate was just £6 - 7
whilst our highest price was obtained by Lot 146 : a complete set of British American Tobacco "Sports and Games in Many Lands" in Very Good to Excellent condition - which sold for £280 off an estimate of £120 - 150.
